2. PAIA guide
The Information Regulator has compiled a guide explaining how to use PAIA, how to request access to records and how to lodge a complaint. The guide is available from the Information Regulator’s PAIA resource page, which also provides the prescribed forms.
3. Records automatically available
The following information is ordinarily available on this website without a formal PAIA request: general company information, service and product information, published Insights, public client showcase material, careers information, this PAIA Manual, the Privacy Notice, Website Terms and Accessibility Statement. Availability may change where information is updated, removed or subject to a legal restriction.
4. Record categories that may be held
Depending on our operations and legal obligations, SHIZZL HOLDINGS may hold records in the following categories:
- company, governance, statutory, tax and financial records;
- client, supplier, project, contract, proposal and service-delivery records;
- operations, systems, security, technical and support records;
- marketing, website, communication and business-development records;
- employee, contractor, recruitment and remuneration records; and
- personal information and records required for legal, regulatory or risk-management purposes.
The existence of a category does not mean every record in that category is available. Access may be refused on a ground recognised by PAIA or another applicable law.
5. How to make a request
- Use the prescribed PAIA Form 02 and describe the record you need as clearly as possible.
- Explain the right you seek to exercise or protect and why the requested record is required for that purpose.
- Send the completed form to the Information Officer at info@shizzlholdings.co.za, or deliver it to the street address above.
- We may ask for proof of identity, information needed to locate the record, or an applicable request or access fee permitted by PAIA.
- We will assess the request and notify you of the outcome, any fee payable and the available remedies in accordance with PAIA.
A request for your own personal information may also be made under POPIA. We may require reasonable identity verification before sharing personal information.
6. POPIA processing information
In addition to the record categories above, we process personal information for business communication, responding to enquiries, recruitment, service delivery, supplier management, system security, legal compliance and records management. Data subjects may include website visitors, prospective and current clients, contacts, suppliers, job applicants, employees and contractors.
Information may be supplied to service providers, professional advisers, authorities or other parties where necessary for the stated purpose, law or a contract. Cross-border processing may occur where an approved technology provider or service requires it, subject to applicable safeguards. We use reasonable access, security and operational measures intended to preserve confidentiality, integrity and availability. See our Privacy Notice for more detail.
7. Remedies and complaints
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a request, you may use the remedies available under PAIA, including a complaint to the Information Regulator or, where appropriate, an application to court. Contact the Information Officer first so that we have an opportunity to understand and address the issue.
8. Updates to this manual
We will review and update this manual as our information-handling practices, records or legal obligations change. The current version will be available on this website.
